Children & Youth

Our Vision

At Christ Church we aim to provide the young people of our congregation and parish with a safe, positive and fun environment in which they can feel accepted and valued, learn about the Christian faith, encounter God, deepen their faith and fulfil their potential as followers of Christ.

Sunday Teaching
On Sundays at the 10.30am service the children go out during the service for a session including Godly Play, teaching, prayer, crafts, and worship. The exception is on the first Sunday of the month, which is usually a worship service designed for children to join in.

Crèche
We offer a crèche each Sunday at the 10.30am service for children under 3. This is always run by two responsible adult volunteers so parents and carers can participate in the service. Children play with a range of toys, do some colouring or read stories.

Godly Play
We are now the dicoesan centre for Godly Play and have a new building which is used during services as well as for training and outreach.

Youthwork
From September the groups will run for school years 5 to 8. Youth who are currently in Year 8 will still be most welcome to the Tuesday group.
Year 5: 6.30pm to 8.00pm on alternate Mondays
Year 6: 6.30pm to 8.00pm on alternate Mondays
Year 7: 7.00pm to 8.30pm on alternate Tuesdays
Year 8+: 7.00pm to 8.30pm on alternate Tuesdays
