Life Events

Christ Church Ottershaw is here to support you through big life events.  Here is some helpful information to guide you through:

Baptism

Everyone is welcome for baptism.  If you or your child would like to be baptised, the first step is to come along to one of our weekly Sunday morning services, or our monthly Messy Church services and chat to Rev Mark Potter.

You have the words that give eternal life.

Weddings

Christ Church is a beautiful setting for a church wedding.  Following the guidelines from the Church of England, you must have a qualifying connection to be able to be married at Christ Church.

Click here to find out more about qualifying connections.

Do speak to our vicar, Rev Mark Potter well in advance to discuss the options open to you.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Colossions 3: 12-14

Funerals

We understand funerals can be very difficult and stressful to plan.  Once you have spoken to your chosen funeral director, our vicar, Rev Mark Potter will meet with you to discuss the details of the service, including whether it will be held a the church or at a local crematorium.

Click here for more information on funerals and interment of ashes.
